Accreditation Information

VCU's MPH Program (in the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health) has been fully accredited since 1996 by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), which accredits schools of public health and graduate public health programs outside schools of public health. The most recent accreditation was awarded in 2007 for a 7-year period.

The new School of Public Health is being developed within VCU's School of Medicine and is not accredited, but will apply for accreditation when the school has the infrastructure required by CEPH. While the School is developing, the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health will maintain the MPH Program's accreditation, up until the time when the School is awarded accreditation.
