The VCU Office of Health Promotion is in the seventh year of a grant-funded
program that supports the development and implementation of a campus-wide
social norms marketing media campaign. Our goal is to use mass media
to help VCU students realize that most people make healthy choices
related to alcohol most of the time.

OHP aims to hire a graduate student who is interested in alcohol prevention. The graduate student duties for the Party Smart CHOICES program will include recruiting and scheduling student-athletes to attend alcohol education sessions, working with the Student-Athlete Advisory committee, being a member of the Social Norms Think Tank team, serving on the APPLE prevention team, assisting with NCHA data collection, and providing support for additional office projects.
