Master of Public Health Program Requirements for Graduation
Below are the requirements for graduation from the Master of Public Health Program, depending on whether the student registered in the (current) 45-credit-hour program or the (previous) 36-credit-hour program.45-Credit-Hour Program (Matriculation Fall 2005 or later)
- 45 credit hours of MPH Program courses, to include:
a. 24 credit hours of core courses- BIOS 543, Statistical Methods I
- EPID 571, Epidemiology I
- EPID 600, Introduction to Public Health
- EPID 602, Public Health Organization and Management
- EPID 604, Principles of Environmental and Occupational Health
- EPID 605, Epidemiology of Health Behaviors
- EPID 691, MPH Program Research Project
- EPID 693, Public Health Internship (required for students entering Fall 2007 and forward)

- 45-Credit-Hour Program (students who matriculated Fall 2005 or
later) are required to attend at least 6 public health seminars
or other approved public health-related presentations (the Department
sponsors 3 seminars per semester in the Fall and Spring semesters).
Students who matriculated in Fall 2008 and after are required to attend at least 9 public health seminars or other approved public health-related presentations.
