BIOSKETCH
- Patrick MacRoy
Patrick
MacRoy is the Executive Director of the Alliance for Healthy Homes,
a national, nonprofit, public interest organization based in Washington,
DC
working to prevent and eliminate hazards in our homes that can harm health.
The Alliance advocates for policy solutions and builds community capacity
by working with policy makers, community-based organizations, the housing
industry, researchers, government agencies at the local, state, and federal
level, and other stakeholders. Prior to joining the Alliance earlier
this
year, Mr. MacRoy was the Program Director of the Chicago Childhood Lead
Poisoning Prevention Program, supervising a staff of 60 and a $10 million
annual budget to comprehensively address lead poisoning prevention in
the City of Chicago. He started his career in healthy housing issues
in Rhode Island, serving as a Public Health Epidemiologist for the Rhode
Island Department of Health, Office of Environmental Health Risk Assessment.
Mr. MacRoy holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies and
a bachelor's in
Public Policy, both from Brown University. Click
